About Kehinde Bankole
Product Engineer
About
I’m Kehinde Bankole, a product engineer based in Lagos, Nigeria, working remotely with teams in other time zones. I build software end to end: the interface people touch, the systems behind it, and the decisions in between. I have also worked under the titles software engineer and frontend engineer, and the work is the same either way.
Most of what I build falls into three buckets. On the web, that means product interfaces and marketing sites in React, Svelte and Astro, usually with TypeScript. On mobile, native iOS apps in Swift and SwiftUI, plus React Native and Capacitor where a shared codebase earns its place. On the backend, Go, Node and Postgres, deployed to Cloudflare more often than not.
Recent work includes ExamCraft, a computer-based testing platform used by tutorial centres and schools across Nigeria for JAMB, WAEC, NECO and Post-UTME exams; the Strongreed health suite, where I own frontend delivery across a hospital management system, an offline-first pharmacy point of sale and the design system all of it runs on; and Shoebox, the site and archive for a Lagos photography studio, which I designed and built end to end including the CMS the studio runs itself.
I studied Computer Science at Lagos State University and have been shipping professionally since 2020, across assessment platforms, health products, fintech-adjacent tooling and consumer apps. I care about the details that shape how a product feels to use, and about the engineering decisions that keep it working once real people depend on it.
